ABOUT IQAC

In order to achieve its vision of societal improvement through the tool of Education, LBCE focuses its energies on refining the processes of planning, delivery and enhancement of academic activities through its IQAC.

The goal of IQAC is to define different levels of quality associated with processes related to Teaching, Learning and Assessment while also striving towards achieving benchmarks. Periodic evaluation combined with feedback and follow up action is the foundation upon which IQAC functions.

Vision:

To incorporate the attribute of Quality proactively into the functioning of the institution in order to ensure delivery of high quality academic service to the beneficiaries.

Mission:

  1. To act as a facilitator in the transformation of the student into a successful engineer by defining benchmarks and tracking the progress of academic processes against those benchmarks.
  2. To constantly reassess existing academic processes whether they meet industry requirements and take concrete steps to bridge the industry-academia gap.
  3. To build and monitor systems which are focused towards increasing stakeholder satisfaction in the areas of Student placements and progress of Students to Higher education.
  4. To act as a think tank that continuously drives the institution towards refinement, quality enhancement and compliance.
  5. To guide the Faculty Members towards proactively implementing the policies of Quality enhancement.
  6. To act as an interface between the institution and the existing Quality standards in the academics and industry which enable it to reorient its energies accordingly.
  7. To train, manage, assess, and monitor individuals and teams towards the institutional goal of quality improvement.

Strategies:

  1. To design, implement and deploy Systems necessary for Quality incorporation, monitoring, enhancement and compliance.
  2. To bring awareness among the Stakeholders regarding the benefits of Quality compliance and implementation of corresponding best practices.
  3. To ensure provisioning of Resources, Tools and Technologies necessary for the purpose.
  4. To act as a liaison between the various committees, departments, administration and management and motivate them towards the common institutional goal of Quality enhancement.
  5. To take concrete steps to mitigate any areas with potential for non-compliance with an eye towards building smooth relationships across individuals, teams and agencies.

Functions:

  1. To train the Faculty Members through Faculty Development Programmes, Workshops and Seminars in order to build a culture of Quality.
  2. To train the Staff Members to enhance the quality of their administrative processes through workshops and in-house training sessions.
  3. To classify the various activities necessary for overall development of the institution and organize them into committees. Train the committees regarding Qualitative functioning and create the spirit of accountability and transparency towards beneficiary satisfaction.
  4. To periodically assess the academic and administrative processes individually through review meetings and suggest appropriate changes as necessary.
  5. To periodically assess the overall performance of the institution against institutional benchmarks and take concrete steps towards their achievement.
  6. To provide transparent and constructive feedback that enables the institution to enhance the quality of delivery of its academic services to the beneficiaries effectively.
  7. To interact with the industry and academia and identify any areas with potential for improvement. Initiate necessary corrective measures without delay.
  8. To track the development of the institution against its own self and against its peers thereby determining areas with potential for improvement. Try to learn to adapt their methods based on institutional requirements.
