Department of CIVIL Engineering

1.Pedagogy of Branch:

Welcome to the Department of CIVIL Engineering which is one of the Oldest and Basic Engineering. It was established on 2010 with an intake of 60 students affiliated to ANDHRA UNIVERSITY, Visakhapatnam. The Department offers a four-year course leading to the Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. The department is organized in to __SEVEN___ major divisions as Transportation Engineering division, Water resources Engineering division, Geo Technical Engineering division, Construction Planning and Management division, RS & GIS Division, Environmental Engineering division and Structures division. A part from the above major divisions with the help of Mechanical Engineering department this department continuously supporting remaining departments both in theoretical and laboratory subjects especially where it requires (Engineering Drawing, Work shop, Thermal Prime Movers and Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulic Machinery in both theory & Laboratory.
The faculties have broad experience in Construction Consultancy, Industry, Training, Field Experience, Research as well as teaching which will help the students to gain practical knowledge which is very essential for their future endeavours.
Our graduates possess the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary to improve the quality of life for many people through engineering practice. We strive hard continuously to make the students aware of the latest technological developments by imparting quality education and organizing various departmental activities such as industry visits, guest lectures, skill development trailing etc. for the holistic development as a professional engineer.
